What comes to mind when you hear the word Malibu?

Honestly, amazing fun times on the beach with my wife and our rescue doggies. We have a good family friend that has an amazing piece of property right on the beach and we've done many a party out there. There's also something so surreal, not being from California and experiencing Malibu for the first time. Exactly what you would hope for! Breathtaking and serene.

How long have you lived in the City of Angels?

Over 17 years. Made the cross country Road trip right after college in the fall of 2006.

On what level is your podcast consumption and could you share any particular one we should know about?

Way too much. I'm big into true crime and spooky stories. I really love Crime Junkie for true crime and Radio Rental for something spooky. If you like something on the lighter side, there's one called Criminal. It's true crime but not really, it has a softer side you should listen and see what I'm talking about.

What’s your preference, reading in print or on a device?

I don't think there's a person out there that doesn't get stressed out by their screen time notification. I love to read, so I am definitely old-school with the actual book in my hand. Like my podcasts, I love horror and thrillers. I just finished Riley Sager's THE ONLY ONE LEFT and Grady Hendrix's HOW TO BUY A HAUNTED HOUSE.

Who is someone you bumped into around town that we might know?

Well, in Malibu; My good buddy Zen Gesner is an amazing actor and local real estate agent that we adore! His dad was a Malibu Architectural legend; the late and great Harry Gesner! The whole Gesner family is beyond wonderful and very near and dear to our hearts.

What was your first concert? We want to know the artists, the year, tour and venue.

Nine Inch Nails 2006 Virginia Beach. Trent Reznor was so jacked. It was the most badass thing ever. I've seen them like 6 times since!

Tell us about your football career back home?

Second team, all district middle linebacker for the Annandale Atoms. I was a better wrestler and lacrosse player; but football at Annandale was a big deal because they had a bunch of state championships back in the day. I got brought up to varsity for the last few games my freshman year and got to stand on the sidelines  because my big brother was a senior captain. That was really cool!

If you could snap your fingers and change one thing today, what would it be and why?

This one's too tough! Can we leave this out? I want more peace, love and happiness.

Where and when do you find solitude in your daily life?

Usually curled up on the couch next to my wife and our two pups reading a super book or watching one of our favorite shows. Hopefully after having an awesome day, where somewhere along the lines I was of service to someone else.

Which Malibu Sandals style are you wearing right now?

The super comfy Thunderbird convertible!
