Clean & Care for your Malibu Sandals

A 7-Step guide on how-to clean & care for your Malibu Sandals

What You'll Need:

  • Mild soap (dish soap or gentle hand soap)
  • Water
  • Soft brush or toothbrush
  • Towel or Rag

Step 1: Remove Excess Dirt and Debris

Before you start cleaning, use a soft brush or toothbrush to gently remove any loose dirt or debris from the surface of your sandals. Pay special attention to crevices, straps, and the sole.

Step 2: Prepare the Soapy Solution

In a bucket, basin or sink, mix a small amount of mild soap with water to create a soapy solution. Ensure that the soap is gentle to avoid damaging the material of your sandals.

Step 3: Dip and Scrub

Dip the soft brush or toothbrush into the soapy solution and gently scrub the areas with stains or dirt buildup. Use a circular motion for effective cleaning. Wax on Wax off!

Step 4: Rinse Thoroughly

Once you've scrubbed the sandals, rinse them thoroughly under running water. Make sure to remove all soap residue. Hold the sandals upside down to allow water to flow through any openings.

Step 5: Dry Off Excess Water

Pat the sandals with a towel to remove excess water. You can also shake them gently to help dislodge any remaining water from hard-to-reach areas.

Step 6: Air Dry

Place your sandals in a well-ventilated area to air dry completely. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as they can damage certain materials.

Step 7: Final Touch-ups

Inspect your sandals once they are dry. If there are any remaining spots or stains, you can use a soft cloth or sponge to spot clean those areas.

Your sandals should now be clean and refreshed, ready for your next adventure. Regularly cleaning your sandals helps prolong their lifespan and keeps them looking their best.
